I’ll admit I was scared. I had a stroke followed by kidney failure. Frightened about my health, but also about being put into a “home.” The idea of it seemed so dreary.
The reality proved far different. The moment I entered Concord, my fears started to disappear the people there—residents and staff—were so welcoming and friendly. And the therapists knew exactly how to make me feel stronger.
I’m thankful to the entire staff of Concord. I had been afraid of being put into a “home.” Instead, the team there made it feel like my home away from home!
